Notificator is a notification client — the app on your phone — for
a notification server that you or your organisation operate. Most
issues are resolved by checking the server side first, then the
device. If you are using Notificator inside an organisation, your
IT administrator is the fastest path to help; if you're evaluating
it on your own, use the contact form below.
First-time setup
- You need a server URL, an account
identifier, and a password.
Your administrator (or the documentation of whatever server you
are connecting to) provides these.
- If your organisation uses Mobile Device Management (MDM), these
values may be pre-filled — you only need to enter the password.
- You'll be asked to allow notifications. This permission is
required; without it the app cannot show incoming messages.
Notifications are not arriving
- Open Settings → Diagnostics → Health check. All three rows
should be green.
- If "Notifications" is red, open your device settings (iOS:
Settings → Notificator; Android: Settings → Apps → Notificator
→ Notifications) and enable notifications.
- If "Server subscription" is red, your account or device may
have been disabled by your administrator. Contact them.
- If "Backend connection" is red, the server URL is wrong or
unreachable. Verify with your administrator.
Privacy and data
Notificator collects only the data needed to deliver notifications.
See the Privacy Policy for a full
disclosure. To clear all locally cached notifications, swipe-delete
individual rows from the home screen, or sign out and back in — the
history will rebuild as new notifications arrive.
